It's been a difficult week. Monday night, I learned my agent, my mentor, my friend died. I'm reeling from the
news. I find myself still wanting to email or message her and then I have to remember she won't answer.
Dawn took a chance on me when I doubt others would have. I'd won a pitch contest with Harlequin, but then the publisher sat on the book for 2 years, not
telling me if they wanted to publish or not. I reached out to Dawn and asked for her help. She agreed, helped me edit the book into a stronger, tighter romance, and then sold it as a three-book deal. Then later, she helped me get my rights back. That first book is Drawn to Her.
Several times I traveled to events with Dawn and it was always a hoot. She fun, funny, sweet, kind, generous. It doesn't seem right that she's gone. I had so much more to learn from her.
Twice now this year, I've lost friends who played a significant role in my becoming a fiction writer. I feel fortunate to have known these women. I miss them dearly.
Tales from the Harte
I got behind in posting the video versions of the audio of Deadly Valentine, but I'm caught up. Twelve episodes are posted on the podcast and Youtube. You can listen or watch from my website here. Or it's listed on major podcast directories and on Youtube.
Thank you so much for your support! I can't tell you what it means to
me!
