Wednesday got away from me, so this email is late. I've been putting the finishing touches on Dead But Not Forgotten: Valentine Book 7. Its release date is May 10... right around the corner!Â

Exciting News
Last year I met an author who talked up Thrillerfest, an author and book event in New York City. Of course, I had to go. I joined International Thriller Writers wondering if I was a good fit. After all, I write romantic mysteries and cozy mysteries.
But I saw that Heather Graham was a founder and decided I could squeeze in.Â
Â
This year, authors such as Diana Gabaldon and Veronica Roth are scheduled. Plus me!Â
Â
My intention was to attend as a spectator, but today, I got an email inviting me to be on a panel, HAMMETT, LARSSON OR CHANDLER: The Thrills of Mystery. This is a big venue, so I'm over the moon to be included. It tickled me that Hammett is in the panel title, as he created Nick and Nora, a sleuthing couple...my favorite sort of sleuths!

If you're in NYC on June 3, I'd love to see you!

Tropes, Taboo, and Tough Questions
Speaking of panels, I appeared on the virtual Do Not Disturb – Fashioning the Perfect Romance panel at the Suffolk Mystery Book Festival with Kelsey Browning, Nancy Naigle, Caridad Pineiro, and moderator Nan O’Berry. We were asked about our the perfect romance, favorite tropes, what was too taboo for us, and more. You can view the replay on my website or on YouTube.
