I'm back from a brief trip home to California to visit family. It was great to catch up, and we even had time for an outing to the beach and wine tasting, plus walks in the woods.Â
Â
Now that I'm home, I'm realizing that I'm running out of time for holiday shopping. And with the postal service being what it is, I'm thinking presents won't make it time. Why do the holidays always sneak up on me?
Â
I've been writing, but also reading. My mother-in-law gave me a copy of Darcy's Tale by Stanley Michael Hurd, which is a retelling of Pride and Prejudice from Darcy's point-of-view. I've often thought Mr. Darcy was misunderstood, so I'll be interested in seeing how this book plays out.

Do you like to read retellings of favorite stories or new stories in a favorite book world (fan fiction)? (Here's a little tidbit about me...I got my start by writing fan fiction.)
Plus, Love is Dangerous is still giving away romance books that involve some sort of danger, whether it's a mystery, suspense, or adventure. You can grab as many as you want here:Â Love is Dangerous Giveaway
