I've read a ton of books last month, but haven't quite managed it this month even though I have a TBR stack taller than me. I did start The Kiss Quotient, which I'm really enjoying.
I think the pandemic is taking a toll, even though my day to day isn't much different. There just seems to be a heaviness in the world that makes it hard to want to do much. Immersing myself in a book is a great antidote, when I can get myself plopped down and ready to read.
Other books on my TBR for this month include:
You Had Me At Hola - Alexis Daria
Sanditon - Jane Austen
Midnight Sun - Stephanie Meyers
The UnHoneymooners - Christina Lauren
I did a FB live going over these and the couple of other books I plan to read. You can check it out here.
❓❓ How about you? What are some ways you're coping with all the craziness in the world?
My days are filled with writing, but at the moment I'm ghost writing for some other "authors". Oh how I miss writing about the Valentines and Charlotte Tavern (Southern Heat). And I need to finish the last Sophie Parker mystery by October.
To help me get my rear in gear, I had a coaching call with a successful writer/coach. It's not easy to be told I'm slacking or don't have the right frame of mind, but it did get me motivated to get back to my own writing.
My goal is to write the last Sophie book, and three more Southern Heat romances by the end of November, and then write a few more Valentine books.
Goals are good right? Do you have any goals you're working from now until the end of the year?
