Here's the blurb:
Â
He doesn't trust her, but he's powerless to resist her. He's...Drawn to Her.
Feisty and outspoken, Lexie McKenna will do anything to protect her cantankerous and ailing patient, Oliver Carmichael—even if it means going up against his cold and calculating, but sexy grandson. After all, as a nurse, her number one priority is to ease her patient’s last days, not cater to Mr. Tall, Dark, and Broody.
Drake Carmichael doesn't trust the nurse who's taking care of his grandfather—despite how compassionate she seems. He refuses to let her get her grips into their hard-earned money. He’s got a family business to save, and if that means working around the old man’s irritating, yet captivating nurse, so be it.Â
As time runs out for Oliver, Lexie and Drake realize that first impressions are deceiving. Drake finds himself attracted to her free spirit, honest candor, and brilliant smile. And Lexie discovers a warm, vulnerable man beneath cold, calculating armor.
Once they finally give in to their desires, the battle has only just begun. With a fight between family and fortune will either one be able to find the love they both crave?

Come See Me
If you're a Virginia writer, I'll be doing a workshop in August at the Virginia Writers Club Symposium on how to keep up writing momentum and not get stuck. It's ideal for pantsters who suffer writing blocks or get stuck.Â
Â
The following week, I'll be at the Suffolk Mystery Authors Festival. Copies of Death of a Debtor will be available and I'll be on a panel discussing, So Much For Stereotypes: Strong Women in Fiction and Why We Love Them.

📚Read, Reading, and TBR
Do you ever find that your TBR list is too big to ever get through in this lifetime, and yet the next book you read isn't in your pile, it's one you just bought at the bookstore? That's almost always the case with me. How about you? How big is your TBR and are you actually reading the book on it?Â
Â
Read:
- The Savior by JR Ward: I really enjoyed this installment although I would have liked to have a better sense of Murdher's torture by the sympaths. Because we didn't really get a sense of it, it was hard to imagine he'd gone crazy, and it made the other Brothers seem like real jerks to him.Â
Reading:
I've been so busy writing, I haven't read anything lately :(Â
