Okay...I've got to get my brain right. Sorry about having the wrong the subject line in the last email.

Life has been crazy busy! My writing projects feel a little bit like plate spinning. I need to pick one and get it done, but so many are vying for attention.

My daughter is home from college for spring break and she brought her two kitties. It's nice to have cats back in the home again, although I wasn't missing the litter box 😵.

Well...it's finally officially here... Death of a Debtor is available!

You can get it in print at your major retailers, and on Amazon Kindle (note that Amazon doesn't have the cover up for Kindle version...😲).

Book Description:

Forced to move back home to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia after her father and brother end up in jail for running a Ponzi scheme, Sophie Parker does the best she can. Read, Reading, and TBR

I recently read:

Consumed, by JR Ward. I have mixed feelings about this book. Overall, I enjoyed it, especially the character Danny. I found Anne to be too harsh especially to her mother. The suspense part of the story comes in sputs and spurts. I assume there will be more books to this series, as the ultimate bad guy isn't caught. With that said, I did like the fire fighter situation, and was shocked at an incident in the beginning of the story. It's always interesting when an author takes a situation all the way (no spoilers...you'll have to read what I mean). I still prefer the Black Dagger series, but it was an interesting read.

I recently listened to on Audible:

I finished Emma Chase's Royally Yours. I enjoyed this book as it delves into the past with the princes in her Royally Series. However, it was also sort of bittersweet as (spoiler alert) when the princes' stories start, Edward is deceases, as is his and Lenora's son Thomas. So it ends with a happy new family, but by the start of Royally Screwed, we know the couple loses their son (and end up raising their grandsons), and Edward is gone.

Reading/Listening

When Darkness Ends by Alexandra Ivy. I've never read her books, but I was intrigued by an Irish vampire and fairies. I've been researching Irish lore for my Hot Shots romance series I'm working on, so I thought I'd read something from someone who is also using Irish lore. This is the latest book in a series of many. I don't feel like I've missed anything by starting at the end, but I'm not that far into the book yet either. Interestingly, the cover for the ebook is different than the cover for the print. I've never seen that before.
