[Jenna Harte] Famous Love Letters, Valentine Mysteries, and More

Welcome to Jenna Harte's Updates
Hi !
Now that I'm all caught up on the Murdoch Mysteries (the show, not the books), I've been stuck on what to watch. As a result, I spend a lot of time on YouTube. I happened to catch a video about Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier. I knew they'd been married, but I didn't know much about their relationship, so I headed to Google to learn more. I discovered a great deal of information, including some suggestive love letters between the two.

In the digital age, it seems like letter writing is a thing of the past, except perhaps on Valentine's Day. To help get in the spirit of writing down my inner most feelings, I thought I'd put together excerpts from love letters. Many of these are lovely and others might make you blush. You can read them all here: Famous Love Letters: Romantic and Erotic

BTW...my favorite love letter of all time is Captain Wentworth's to Anne Elliot in Jane Austen's Persuasion (yes, I know it's fiction). Do you have a favorite love letter, either fictional or real?

Oh...and if you love romance, check out A Little Romance, staring a teenage Diane Lane and an old, but charming, Laurence Olivier who helps Diane and her French boyfriend get to the the Bridge of Sighs in Venice to kiss so their love will last forever. It's a really sweet romance.

    Book Updates & Contests
The Valentine Boxed Set is here!

If you haven't read the Valentine Mysteries, you can get the first three books for a great deal at Amazon.

Here's a quick blurb so you know what it's about:

Tess Madison walked away from her two-timing fiancé, a multi-million dollar trust fund and a cushy corporate law job to pursue the single life indulging in chocolate and fancy French underwear. But her newly reordered life comes unraveled when she reluctantly accepts an invitation to a dinner party and stumbles upon the host’s dead body and into the arms of the sexy, blue-green eyed Jack Valentine. As romance grows, so too does Tess and Jack’s propensity to get into trouble.

If you like romance mixed with your mystery, the Valentine Mysteries are for you. In this collection, you’ll get books 1 through 3.

If you have read the books, I'd love it if you could leave a review for the boxed set.

    Thank you!!

    Read, Reading, and TBR

    Read...
I finished the new JD Robb book Dark in Death. This one involved a would-be writer turned killer. Like always, I enjoyed it, although it made me wonder if Robb has something against self-published authors.

Next up on my to-be-read (TBR)...

Have you ever noticed the TBR list never gets smaller, no matter how many books you read? Here's what's currently on my list:

The Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz
The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley
Macrame Murder by Mollie Cox Bryan
Murder in an Irish Village by Carlene O'Conner
Grave Errors by Carol J. Perry
A Deadly Cliche by Ellery Adams
The Cottingley Secret by Hazel Gaynor

Have you read any of these?

What have you read, are reading or is sitting on your TBR?

    Last but not least....
