Hi !
I have to be honest...I'm terrified of this sixth Valentine book. It's no secret I've had a lot of struggles with it. Finally I have a draft, but as I revise it, I'm starting to doubt myself. You'd think that after 5 books, I'd feel confident about the Valentine books. Instead, I'm feeling a lot of pressure to get
it done, and yet at the same, I want to take the time to make sure it's good. One bad book can ruin everything.
With that said, while I'm still shooting for a Valentine release, I may move it back slightly. I'm putting together a box set of the first three Valentine books and it makes more sense, promotional-wise, to have that be a Valentine's day release, followed up with the release of
Truly, Madly, Deadly (6th book). I know it's not what many of you want to hear. I hate to disappoint you, but I'd hate even more to deliver a book you didn't like.
Death of a Debtor is heading back to my publisher next week. Then I'll need to focus on the next book, Death of a Coupon Queen. However, I still want to write a Valentine novella.
My goal of increasing my writing output hasn't come to fruition yet, but I'm hopeful that after I finish a big project I'm currently working on in my "other" life, that I'll be able to get back to my regular writing schedule.
