Hi !
I've done it again...I've gone MIA with my email. It's been a particularly difficult last few months of the year. But I've still been writing, and I've got big plans for 2018. Here's just a few things I hope to get done...
The sixth Valentine book, now titled Truly, Madly, Deadly,
has a goal publication date of Valentine's day. I'm currently in the revision process and hope to have the book to the editor early January. I don't know why, but this book has taken me forever to write, but finally Jack and Tess have started cooperating.
I just received edits back on Death of a Debtor, which is a cozy mystery I've written. It's always scary to get edits back on a manuscript. It takes a lot to write a
story, so when it comes back with red lines and notes in the margin, it can be disheartening. Plus, I don't always agree with what the editor is saying. I've learned to try and be objective when going through edits. Many of the suggested changes I make, although sometimes I stand my ground.
I have several more ideas for books, including a novella for the Valentines. I want to write a pirate cozy (I've been reading and watching
YouTube videos on pirates), and a paranormal story that has been percolating for a few years is now itching to be written. My writing output this year was lower compared to previous years, but I hope to get it back up in 2018.
