I feel rotten about how out of touch I've been. My life got really chaotic there for a bit. I felt like I was on a treadmill...my legs moving as fast as they could, but not really getting anywhere. Some of my busyness was fun. I was at the Suffolk Mystery Author Festival where I sold a lot of books and spoke on a panel. I must have made an
impression because one gentleman came up to my table after my panel and told he me enjoyed my talk, adding, "You're some kind of crazy." I decided that was a compliment.
Other craziness hasn't been so fun. My grandmother is ailing and my sister and I flew out together to visit her. While there, she seemed to be gaining strength, but now it seems she's sliding back.
An interesting tidbit ... my grandmother is Canadian French, and the name of Tess' boutique, Cezarier, is a family name (it's my grandmother's grandmother's name).
I'm hoping this fall things are about to settle down.
