Welcome to Jenna Harte's Updates
Hi !

Things are moving along in the next Valentine book. I'm a quick writer when I have the time and know where I'm going in the story, but too often, time has been getting in the way lately. I appreciate everyone's patience as I get Jack and Tess' next adventure written.

    Book Updates

Death of a Debtor is officially with my agent. Fingers crossed, a big five publisher wants it.

Another author with my agent just had the Hallmark Channel request a copy of her cozy mystery for consideration. How exciting is that?? I think the Valentines might be a little too sexy for the Hallmark mysteries, but it would be so awesome to see them on the screen as well.

I'd also love to see JD Robb's In Death series as a cable (i.e. HBO) show and Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldbergs' O'Hare and Fox series on TV as well.

How about you? Are there books you'd love to see made as a movie or TV show? Let me know on Facebook.

    Read, Reading, Releases and TBR

    Read...

I finished Echos In Death and really enjoyed it. There are several books in the middle of the In Death series that were so-so, but the last several have been pretty good. It's awesome to be able to follow a romantic (albeit rough-around-the-edges couple in Eve and Roarke), through a series. I started writing the Valentines because I just couldn't find enough books that had all the elements...romance, passion, mystery all in a series format.

I'm still listening to Lauren Blakely's new book, Full Package on audiobook. Since I only listen when I run, it's taking longer to get through. If you like sexy romance, you might enjoy her series of books (Big Rock, Mister O, Well Hung). They're sexy, but I wouldn't put at erotica levels. What I enjoy is that they're told almost entirely from the male protagonists point of view. They're not necessarily for everyone...these guys are a little cocky (but have endearing qualities), but I think the reader is fabulous and Blakely is a good writer.

    Reading...

I'm between books at the moment. I look at my TBR list (below) and I'm not sure which I'll pick up next. I'm leaning toward First Star I See Tonight, but also The Winter Sea as I've heard really good things about Susanna Kearsly.

Next up on my to-be-read (TBR)...

This isn't all that's on my TBR...but it should get me through February (I'm sooo behind in my reading!)

What have you read, are reading or is sitting on your TBR?

    Come See Me

I've added an Upcoming Appearances page to my site. Right now, my next committed engagement is April 8, 2017 at the Roanoke Authors Invasion, a book signing event. I won't be at the RT conference in Atlanta after all :( I just have too much going on that week to justify the stress it would take to fit it all in.
