[Jenna Harte] Excerpt from Wed to You, Book Deals, and More

Published: Wed, 01/18/17

Welcome to Jenna Harte's Updates
Hi !

Book launches are both exciting and scary. I can't tell you how nerve-wracking it is to wonder...will people like this book. It's always exciting when they do and painful when they don't. I've been fortunate that readers overall like the Southern Heat series. Each book has had things about them that I worried wouldn't be well-received. Is Drake too unlikable? Is Mitch's backstory too dark? And with Wed to You coming out...is Jagger too cold-hearted?

ARCs of Wed to You are now available at NetGalley and so far, two Southern Heat fans have been very positive about the book (one said 6 stars!). Over at Goodreads, the reception is a little less enthusiastic, but not bad.

In anticipation of the book's release on January 24, I've got a Facebook Author Takeover party planned. You'll be able to meet authors, have fun, win free stuff and more. Learn more about the event and who's attending on my website and be sure to RSVP at the event.

In the meantime, you can pre-order Wed to You at your favorite ebook e-tailers.

Read Chapter One of Wed to You

Samples are always a fun way to get a taste of what you can get. So to wet your appetite for Wed to You, you can read the first chapter where you'll meet again, Chelsea Beemer (Lexie and Mitch's good friend), Jagger Talbot (Mitch and Sydney's friend), and Kaden Talbot, the five year old Jagger is raising.

Wed to You is a marriage-of-convenience story, that explores love, loyalty, and trust. I hope you'll check out the excerpt!

Worth the Risk, a free novella to email subscribers and SweetHarte street team members, is also now free on Amazon, Nook, iBooks and Kobo. Book Updates

I just sent my brand new cozy mystery series to a couple of beta readers. Fingers crossed they enjoy it. My goal is a big 5 publisher for this book. This book is a traditional cozy, so you won't find the intimate love scenes found in the Valentines or Southern Heat series, but that doesn't mean there isn't love and romance.

I'm finishing up editing and converting the remaining Valentine books so they'll be available on Nook, iBooks, and Kobo as well as Amazon. These projects always take a little longer than I anticipate.

Deadly Valentine, Old Flames Never Die, and With this Ring I Thee Kill, are now all all available at the major ebook retailers including Amazon, iBooks, Nook and Kobo. The other books in the series will be available at these outlets shortly. Visit the Valentine book page at JennaHarte.com to see the info and links, or visit your digital bookstore.
    Read, Reading, Releases and TBR

    Read...
I just finished beta reading debut author Gillian Baker's Blogging is Murder. I've made my living as a blogger (and freelance writer) for some time, so was excited to read the story. It's a fun read and I think cozy readers will enjoy it. Gillian will be at the Wed to You Facebook release party, so be sure to come by and say "hi."

    Reading...

I'm in between reading now... I'm eager to tackle my TBR list, but can't quite decide which to pick first. I have a few projects to get done, then I'll be starting a new book tomorrow. If you have a recommendation from my TBR list below or your list, let me know.

Next up on my to-be-read (TBR)...

A member of my writer group just recommended The Master of All Desires by Judith Merkle Riley. She said it was hilarious and weird and awesome. I can't pass a recommendation like that. Booklist said, "A delightful blend of history, romance, and the supernatural, served with generous helpings of wit and humor." Sounds fun. So it's on the TBR.

    Others on my TBR:

This isn't all that's on my TBR...but it should get me through January...maybe even into February.

What have you read, are reading or is sitting on your TBR?
